Pain and Suffering

Posted in Uncategorized on October 27, 2015

Unfortunately, no, an injured worker does not get so-called “pain and suffering” from worker’s compensation.  When the worker’s comp system was created, it was not created to put someone back where they would have been if they had not been hurt, it was meant to keep people off of welfare.  And, it barely does that.  The money paid under work comp is always based upon a percentage of lost wages.  But, if you’ve returned to work, but are unable to play golf anymore or hold your baby, you do not get any additional assistance.  The best idea is to get the best medical treatment available and get better.  Call our law office to discuss if you have lost wages due to a work injury.  When you call, you will speak directly to an attorney for free.
