Am I an Independent Contractor?

Only “employees” are covered under workers’ compensation. However, the definition of an employee is definitely not set in stone.  Many people think they are independent contractors because their bosses tell them so.  No so under the law.  The law says you look at the particular circumstances in each case.  There are no hard and fast rules and we look at the totality of the circumstances.  Call our office to run your situation by a certified workers’ comp. attorney.  We provide free phone consultations and all calls are returned by an attorney by the end of the day, or definitely by the next morning.
